We did the exit interview with this last person that's leaving.
I'd say it's one of my worst professional business experiences to-date. That's saying a lot, considering what we've been through.
This individual was heavily influenced by another individual that recently left. In her interview, she essentially barfed all over us. She has a complete lack of respect for us, and it was an awful, disgusting experience.
We do exit interviews to gain feedback, and I guess you know, just take more abuse because the daily abuse isn't enough. I guess I expect people to want feedback from us, but it rarely happens that way.
I remember the exit interview I did a few months ago with the big talker. He was so nervous, just sitting there directly across from me as we had lunch. All the bravado was gone, all the aww-shucks stuff he pulled at work and got people to be on his side. He just fiddled and was nervous, having to actually look at me. He had nothing to say of substance. He didn't want to really talk or try and discuss anything of merit or value. I think he also felt guilty.
I went down to a local hangout after this last exit interview and had some food and drinks at the end of the day. I went home and made our first Sunbasket dinner from the birthday gift a friend gave us.
I just felt like a zombie all evening.
Just more joy for the week to end on.
