Saturday, a visit to the farmer's market. Greens for eating, starts for the garden, mead and cider.
It hit me today that in a week, we have the wedding.
We're prepared. We paid for it, we're ready, we have our tasks done.
I bought a bottle of the local mead from Greenbluff and realized I'm ready to relax and start celebrating. People are texting, excited, ready, buying their clothes, prepping for travel, checking their recipes for cookies, coordinating details.
I feel energized, excited, alive.
I'm cleaning the basement in preparation. It's the staging area and too cluttered, so cleaning day. Watching Peaky Blinders, rainy day, feeling healthy, feeling happy.
I feel rich. I feel like a queen.
On Sunday, Jay and I had another honest, non-triggering conversation about our marriage, about sex, about healing.
We couldn't have done this even six months ago. What a lot can change in a short period of time. I don't ever want to forget that. Sometimes, it seems changes happens so slow. Sometimes, it can be speedy, especially when the conditions are right.
