Cheap Books

I've latched onto a small project this summer that provides the fleeting feeling of being productive.

It combines my love of hunting for things, being in charge, and books.

There is a Little Free Library across from the park, and it's frequently stuffed with junky books. The thrift store in Moscow has an excellent used book section and an even better pricing strategy: $5 for a bag of books.

Of course, I had to ask the obvious question: what do you actually mean by bag? They seem to have missed this loophole, so I'll continue to fill my giant-ass bookbag every week until someone catches on.

I've taken it upon myself to source high-quality books from the thrift store, then curate and organize the books nicely for public consumption. I also throw away all the Jehovah's Witness material that's been placed.

The people who have the library in the yard are renters and didn't even really want it there. I'm excited to have at least one thing to do that uses a few of my skills, is affordable and hopefully people will be helped by.

I still got it.
