18 Week 2

How friends and change of scenery revives your soul.

This, from The Art of Travel by Alain de Botton

"At the end of hours of train-dreaming, we may feel we have been returned to ourselves - that is, brought back into contact with emotions and ideas of importance to us. It is not necessarily at home that we best encounter our true selves. The furniture insists that we cannot change because it does not; the domestic setting keeps us tethered to the person we are in ordinary life, but who may not be who we essentially are."

I'm inspired by how our friends are living their lives.

I'm inspired by the diversity of nature, the beauty almost impossible to grasp. Yes, that's it really. You can't grasp it.

I'm inspired to think new thoughts and be removed from daily responsiblities to consider myself and the future as I heal.

I've visited two families, Jay visited one. We're off to the next location, up back north again in Thousand Oaks. The land of canyons. More beauty, more people.

I'm rich!
