Another day of work chores and evening entertaining of our guest.
Tonight we walked up to the Scoop and met a friend who just had a birthday and lives nearby. He speaks a little French so they got by a bit. I could understand very little.
I think he’s having a good week, and also enjoyed seeing our office.

Our guest is obsessed with the US and wants to live here, go here for college. I remember when we visited them in France in 2013, he had a US flag bedspread.
I imagine he will enjoy it to some degree, hopefully it will meet some of his wild expectations. I think he will come to realize there is much about France that will be better than life here. Who knows??
I am having latent mothering instincts surging back up as we buy food for the week, make sure he’s enjoying himself, on a schedule, etc. It’s nice to have a nice kid around in our house again.
