What does daily health really look like? How do you organize your thoughts and your day best?

I guess One's think about things like this. Does everyone?

Now that I'm so much healthier, I'm nerding out on things like this. I have a few spreadsheets where I've tried to break things down by sections or chunks. I've picked different colors to highlight certain topics or types of projects or tasks. I have lists in my Daytimer, notes in the kitchen, journals, etc. It's not chaotic, more just part of trying to land on something that will work over time.

I had a revelation laying in bed this morning. I listened to this killer podcast on Tuesday driving home on the OnBeing website. It was an interview with Lynn Randall and the topic was dark matter. The more I ponder the interconnectedness of life and matter, the more I wonder about how that can inform daily living.

Everything revolves around an energy source. That's the model of life, if there is one. From the universe, galaxies and solar systems down into our bodies at the microscopic level and then out in mystical or spiritual realms, it's about a relationship of energy with other energy in a usually circular form factor.

Pondering this today, I realized I have to start each day thinking first about myself. I'm the main energy source of myself. All my other relationships with people that are in my orbit depend on me being well and healthy. If I neglect myself, that impacts my solar system so to speak.

So instead of first thinking about all of my revolving distractions or thoughts (people, projects, problems, etc.), I thought first of the different things I'm doing to stay healthy. My body. My emotional and mental health. My clothes. My career. My food. Exercise. On the list went.

I already have a section like this in my spreadsheet, but I've found I prioritize other things daily over those tasks or action items.

It felt great to do that this morning. It meant I emailed my doctor instead of putting it off. I had a healthy breakfast again and am staying on top of my weekly chores. I reached out to a few people by phone and text that I wanted to talk to that are good friends.

Next on the list are more the problem things that aren't urgent, but I should pay attention to. It feels like that is putting my life in a better order. It feels like my system is finally starting to calm down some and feel less on-fire like it's been for decades. Put out fires, everywhere, all the time.

Listening to this podcast made me think again about my career and interests. It'd be cool to be a scientist of some kind. I've always thought it'd be cool to do research. Who knows... ? I'm fascinated by the intersection of scientific type models or formulas or known truths in like, geometry, physics, etc. that seem to have correlations in the human world of existence. Like proofing in geometry seems super helpful in understanding human relationships, spirituality, truth/untruth, etc.
