Drilling

Nothing like a visit to the dentist to make you grateful for good healthcare. For reals.

Bad teeth is what used to kill millions and billions of people. Still does to some degree. I believe the Kennewick Man they found down by the Columbia River years ago, they determined he died of sinus and teeth infections. Bleh.

So I took my nitrous oxide with pleasure and endured the drilling and prodding while watching The Blue Planet.

On work, I can’t rescue Jay, but I can’t attack him either.

How to keep doing this work together day after day… We have so little tenderness. It takes me a long time to recover on weekends when we’ve been together a lot with all the stress work entails right now.

I'm slowly beginning to think I'm in the way of what needs to happen. I've felt the need to keep things going and balanced. Trouble is, we've hired people that are also hurting us, more than what Jay is doing.

Regardless of who is doing what, working together is killing our marriage. I'm becoming convicted of the need to step down and get out of these meetings, let it be what it will be.

In some of these meetings with the autism counselor, she said people are stressed by how I'm trying to run interference. That surprised me.

Another senior staff member has decided to also leave. i initially wanted him to stay. Now, I am beginning to wonder about all our senior leaders and am seeing some of what Jay has been trying to say.

Regardless, it's chaos. Managing the chaos and feeling my stomach in knots.

Unhappy date night tonight, but hanging in there.

End It
