Spent the day packing, wrapping things up and flying to Cali. I picked up a cold of some kind, probably due to stress. That always takes the edge off. We arrived around 8:30 in Burbank then drove out to Westlake Village to stay with our friends.
It's amazing how these friendships out here developed. I'm the board of an organization that is based here or at least the board chair lives here. They're all older than us, one couple twenty years, the other about seven. They add different thoughts and perspectives to our lives. They also live in a beautiful area that's quiet, restful and surrounded by canyon beauty.
I'm eager to relax here and have other people to interact with, get away from the dance between us that's largely toxic right now.
