17 Week 5

From one extreme to another. Frying pan to the fire. High to low. Black to white, dark to light.

Whatever phrase or analogy you want to use, life feels pretty extreme going from vacation on Monday to business chaos on Friday. Love me some uptightness.

I know there will be an upheaval of sorts with this person leaving. I don't know the fallout. I don't know what this means for the company, for Jay and for us, for the staff. I do know that this is unsettling and I don't know what's coming. I do know he was supposed to help create stability in a key department, and he didn't do that.

Highlights:

- Closing out a fine California vacation, although a fair amount of just general recovery before any relaxing could begin

- Helping out a friend and organization

Next week:

- Survey the aftermath and make plans for next steps

- Continue to look at my role and be honest about what I can and can't do

- Stay on top of therapy and EMDR; practice what I'm learning, take it seriously
