It's not horrible to be home.
There's work to be done, but it's home.
I'm not exhausted. We aren't fighting. I'm not angry that we're here. These are good, hopeful signs after returning from a trip.
Trips represent a microcosm in some ways of your marriage or partnership. We've always traveled fairly well together, especially with the kids. Of late though, even travel has felt weighty and just too much time together.
It feels good to see slight shifts happening not just in me, but in our relationship. I am hopeful Jay will continue to pursue counseling. I think we're going to need it to get further than where we are now, which is better, but it's not enough yet. Still too much roommating going on.
I remain hopeful.
