Lecture Me

Pain continues to improve.

Went to a lecture today at GU. Former Ambassador Ryan Crocker spoke on foreign policy in the Middle East. Was fascinating and made me want to go to more and more lectures and more and more and get the brain moving again.

Jay is the one that made it happen. So grateful. I’ve felt hopeless and tired of trying to do things on my own w/ my mushy brain. I feel I’m finding my feet again and remembering what I love. I used to go to lectures and read and watch things. Feels so good to feel hope and feel stirred listening to someone like the ambassador.

He was hopeful. He said local politics is what makes the US distinct. That makes me feel hopeful, not sad and discouraged like the world is heading to hell in a handbasket.

One we go w/ hope.
