We flew to San Francisco and participated in The Big French Reunion in the airport. It was sweet to see their family reconnect after a week apart.
They are truly doing this epic American vacation, a month almost in the US touring across the continent. I’m impressed w/ all the work our friends have done to put this all together. I’m glad we got to be a small part of it.
After doing the handoff there, we headed to see Aunt P and go visit with her friends down in South San Fran. It was good to see people and have amazing food which always happens.
We spent a day with our friends on Sunday at Alcatraz and eating good food on the wharf as well. We had a blast with them and told stories from when we visited France and when we knew them in the US back in the 90’s. We knew we wouldn’t see them again for a few years so was bittersweet when we parted.
Now this week we’ll have time with my aunt and Jay will head home on Tuesday while I stay a few more days.
Highlights:
Some revelations regarding how I’m processing life and reality
Having a wonderful French student all week
Seeing friends we only see every few years
Enjoying San Francisco
Next week:
Get ready to go hiking
Work
Heal and put therapy stuff into practice
Oddly, I didn’t have many other photos to share. Alcatraz has some interesting patterns and architecture, but overall, it’s super depressing. So, here’s just an okay shot of the Bay, a big ship and the bridge. Lots of birds.
