17 Week 19

I loved the women at the monastery. I didn't love the sense of the high-church setting, but loved the incredible women.

Sister Gee didn't disappoint. Some thoughts:

The churches are about doctrine, not spirituality. Spirituality is about the heart intelligence and not the head. Have to have both. The churches are not healthy. Very few understand spirituality. The church really should be about spiritual direction. Following Jesus life is an outflow then of that.

She also once again emphasized the breathing. She said that’s what helped her start to keep the toxicity at bay. Just keep going back to your breath, deep in and out. That helps you center your mind and keep things outside your body and mind.

She also said she was sorry John was joining the others for breakfast and would miss seeing a handsome man. She said her ego is in a good place so she can go through this more calmly, her illnesses.

I’m thinking we need basic doctrine/teaching, teaching about being in community, working hard and helping others and then spiritual direction for everyone. Ego training, training on trauma, sacrifice, non-dual consciousness and non-dual thinking. Meditation and breathing.

The week felt happier and more energetic with my birthday in the middle. I'm glad I planned my own party. I don't feel angry about that, especially since I will continue to not try and plan much for Jay's birthday.
