Board Help

Today, used some mad skills to help two of the boards and organizations I'm involved with. One was a meeting regarding the review process for the current President. There were few protocols for that particular operational task until about five years ago. How to do it effectively for everyone, that's the question.

The other organization is transitioning their board members and trying to plan better for the next board composition. I met with the Executive Director to review that.

I do have skills that have come in handy for us and others. I'm glad to help but find it strange I'm still helping organizations I don't fully believe in or feel passionate about. I'm pretty sure this is one reason I feel unfulfilled and drained much of the time.

*****

Continuing the purge and minimalism process. Sold several items today at a local consignment and antique store. No, I don't want/need the sweaters my Dad used to wear, or my mother, for that matter. Thanks for the cash.

I've only gotten rid of two items out of the thousands I've donated or sold that I wish I still had. Both were for sentimental reasons, not monetary.

Win a lot, lose a little. Seems like a decent formula.
